Bd exibiu pela primeira vez na Maison et Objet, Paris, com um grande sucesso de participação, sendo possivelmente um dos mais fotografados stands do evento. Para 2009, a Bd apresenta o novissimo aparador desenhado pelos designers gráficos Antoine & Manuel, este poderá ser um futuro ícone do design mundial de 2009. Também apresentou pela primeira vez a edição limitada Salvador Dalí Black Label, uma nova interpretação de todas as peças de mobiliário desenhado por Salvador Dalí, agora na cor preta e em uma edição limitada de 105 peças (a idade de Dali em 2009).

Bd exhibited for the first time in Paris Maison et Objet, with a great success of attendance, being possibly one of the most pictured stands of the event. 2009 new Bd’s shock was definetly the new cabinet designed by French graphic designers Antoine & Manuel, which it is forseen to be one of 2009 design icon worldwide. We also presented for the first time the limited edition Salvador Dalí Black Label, a new interpretation of all the furniture pieces designed by Salvador Dalí, now in black colour and in a limited edition of 105 pieces (Dali’s age in 2009).

Suspension Cabinet

african mahogony / maple / aluminum rod
18” x 18” x 43.5”

This piece is about suspension as well as deconstruction. The central cabinet unit is suspended from four points within the maple frame. The outer structure is bolted together and deconstructs into component parts. The aluminum rod functions as the connection point for the hardware, as well as acts as a buffer between the wooden components, while the hardware is presented as an accent rather than hidden from view. The overall design brings attention to the structure of the frame -as a container, protecting the contents of the shelf.
